Well sealed permanently after pressure is relieved - so help us, God!
UPDATE
It is now (June 1) evident that the pressure is so enormous,
that it is unlikely to be contained by any efforts now in progress.
Rather than trying to contain the pressure with a cap,
(unlikely to succeed - but likely to make matters worse)
efforts must be made to capture the oil as indicated above,
while it is in a confined space,
allowing it to escape to relieve some of the pressure!
